A game that I had a lot of co-op fun with was portal 2. I couldn't make zombie teacher without making some portal action of my own! zombie teacher has portals! (this can keep you going til portal 3 is released)
zombie teacher is my tribute to videogames, an art form that I've loved for as long as i can remember. as such, buried deep within my mind are 100's of epic gaming memories. Zombie teacher pays tribute and references a few of these in some very subtle ways. Here's an example of a not so subtle tribute that had to be included! (it was an idea i had back when i was 7!)
Making an indie game is one hell of a task, especially when you're not much of a coder. however this means when you get something awesome working, it feels all the more sweeter. Zombie Teacher now has reverse gravity stages!
Making AN indie game has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I spent years of my life glamorising the idea of being a game developer who would craft his thoughts into awesome gameplay, who would create worlds where gamers would be immersed and who would make some good old fashioned co-op fun. The reality of the situation however is not as bubbly. being a LONE GAME DEV WORKING mornings and evenings can be a pretty harsh experience...
This is the first official entry of my dev diary and what better time to start than on the very first day of a new year of game development. I kept journals throughout last year and will definitely upload them too at some point (I hope you enjoy slow frustrating physics related stories)...
